Supportive care enhances patient survival
Integrative oncology combines standard cancer treatment with supportive care interventions such as exercise, nutrition, and symptom management to improve patient outcomes. Supportive care is increasingly recognised as a core component of modern oncology, with emerging evidence suggesting benefits on quality of life, treatment delivery, and clinical outcomes, alongside growing insights into relevant host-related biological factors.
Within this framework, personalised supportive care supports a more holistic, patient-centred approach to cancer care.
